FBC Adopt-a-Road Trash Pick-up

Dear devoted FBC supporters, Because January’s trash pick-up was canceled, there is currently a considerable amount of rubbish accumulating along the shoulder of our adopted section of Route 40. Please come out and help us keep clean things up on Sunday, February 27th from 10am – 12:00pm. Following trash pick-up there will be a moderately paced, three hour road ride with a considerable amount of climbing   …..and we will most likely be coming home via Coxey Brown.

Here’s the break down:

Date: Sunday, February 27th, 2011

Time: 10am – noon

What: pickn’ up trash

What to bring: wear bright colors and bring your work gloves

Where to meet: We will meet at the intersection of Kehne and Rout 40. (click below map to enlarge)

Riding?Don’t have a lock? Don’t worry, there will be enough of us there with locks to make due.

Driving? There should be enough room along the shoulder for parking, but think about carpooling if possible!

Questions? Contact trash lead at treasurer@frederickbicyclecoalition.com

Thank you to all our dedicated volunteers!
